CIRCLE SKIRT - VOGUE 8882

Welcome to my blog. My oh my this has been such a long time in the making (in my head). I've always desired to write about my makes and so many of you have encourage me to start. I'm full of joy that I am able to inspire others and I thank you for all your support and encouragement so here I am diving in head first.

Starting of with the circle skirt that I made a couple of years ago using Vogue 8882. I love this pattern. To date, I've made it a total of three times.

It's a really easy make. I used Ankara fabric that I bought at a local store. I really love Ankara fabric because it is easy to work with and for it's bold colour and prints that make it easy to pair with plain pieces I may have in my closet.

I eliminated the pleats in the skirt pattern and added an invisible side zipper and a structured waistband.

Another version of the circle skirt with Stretch Sateen that I bought in Trinidad.
I like to create my own style using the same pattern. Using the same skirt pattern I added my own bodice draft to it to create this dress that I made this past summer.
I'm sure I'll use it again.
Till next time,
Be original, show off your style!
